I am a Board-certified obstetrician gynecologist practicing as the Chief Medical Officer of the Kwajalein Hospital. Kwajalein is home to the US Army Space and Missile Defense Command and the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site (RTS).

Background

A native of Los Angeles, California, I began my medical career in Houston, Texas. My first office was in Webster, Texas (a Houston suburb known as Clear Lake) as a solo practicioner. I lived and worked in the Clear Lake Area for 10 years before relocating to Virginia.

My family and I came to Bedford County, Virginia and experience a slower pace of life, lower cost of living, safer environment and the preservation of private medical practice.  I enjoy the privilege of caring for patients with the best tools, knowledge and procedures that I know.

Interests, Activities & Plans

I am interested and experienced in infertility and gynecologic surgery. Recent training includes learning the latest techniques to correct female urinary incontinence, repair pelvic prolapse, an update course on general obstetrics and gynecology, a hands-on training course on the use of ultrasound to detect malignancies of the breast, uterus and ovary; seminars in advanced ultrasound imaging; and a JCAHO National Conference on Quality.

In January 1996, I opened an office in Forest, VA from which I retired in 2008. From September 2008 through February 2009 I had the special opportunity to work as a physician at McMurdo Station, Antarctica.

Other Interesting Things

I like to play bridge (the card game), scuba dive (warm water only, please) and enjoy camping in the Blue Ridge mountains.
